New Jersey, NJ Commercial Excess Liability Insurance (Umbrella)
COMMERCIAL EXCESS LIABILITY, also known as an UMBRELLA extends the limits of the underlying policies.
Example: A business has commercial liability insurance and a commercial automobile insurance. The policy limits are 1 million dollars each. The insurance company will not write higher than the 1 million dollar coverage on those policies, however they will most likely issue a commercial excess or commercial umbrella policy. This policy doesn't provide different coverage, it just provides higher limits. Limits up to 10 million dollars are common.
If you need these higher limits, give us a call.
